It's the last week of school before the summer holidays so it's school trips ahoy! I was lucky enough to get to go to Drayton Manor with our year 8's - good not only because of its proximity to our school but also because it has a zoo! I spent the whole day with a colleague doing animal sketches and talking to parrots - bliss!
These have been created using a mixture of emulsion paints, Letraset ProMarkers, a uniball black ink pen and scraps of paper ephemera. All painted on location.
Kim is a textile artist based in Portsmouth. She studied Illustration at Kingston University before becoming a textiles teacher. She combines the two disciplines to create retro inspired fabric artworks and playful images of pop culture.
