Another week completed! This week I tried to put a bit more time into this project to catch up with myself! So I created a front and inside cover for the stitchbook. (I probably should have done this before starting- but apparently I'm a maverick)
The front cover has been hand pieced using white and blue found fabric with an felt applique title. I hand embroidered a zig-zag pattern around the inner circle for stability and to frame the title.
The inside cover is a patchwork of blue and white squares decorated with a grid of french knots. There are three rows of ribbon which will act as the spine as I sew the book together. (Hopefully this will become clear next week as the first group of pages go in.
I secured the outside and inside covers together and bound the edges with green velvet ribbon which I love because it demands you to touch it!
