Welcome to week 7 - I've been on my Easter Holidays this week and have been doing some exciting things (so excuse me for being a few days late to post!). The best thing I have done with my time off is to visit my lovely cousin Rachel and meet her new baby Rhiannon for the first time.
Therefore I couldn't resist making some pages to show off the gorgeous new family. Here is the first one:
I wanted to try a technique here that I have seen in scrapbook tutorials using Sharpies to write on acetate which is then applied to the background to create a transparent layer. I couldn't use acetate, but I tried with a sewable PVC (sold as table protector) that I had bought for a previous project. The Sharpie worked really well and I was able to draw the black leaves above and sew them virtually invisibly through the stems.
I will certainly be trying this again and may have to purchase some more exciting coloured pens!
