This week's journal challenge page is celebrating another visit I made during my Easter holidays (because nothing interesting happens during term time!). This time it was to visit my cousin Mark and his family. His daughter Harriet already has a page in this stitchbook, but that was over 7 weeks ago, (and she has done a lot of growing since then) so I thought she should have another dedicated page!
I based this page on this scrapbook layout I saw on pinterest by Paige Evans (paigeandchris.com).
I used the basic page layout here as inspiration and then swapped the paper butterflies for fabric prairie points ( a technique I have been meaning to try out for ages), and I tried to match the fabric to the background of her forest themed play mat. I'm really pleased how well they turned out and I'm definitely going to try them again soon!
